Boat Lift Canopy Cover Guide

Measuring

When ordering a replacement Boat Lift Canopy Cover, the best way to find what size you need is to check the current canopy’s tag for sizing and model information. If the tag is not available, you will first need to determine who manufactured your canopy lift frame. Once you have determined who the manufacturer of your frame is, you can begin to measure. Most canopy frames will need to be measured from the inside of the frame. The frame’s length will be measured in feet and the width in inches. Once you have measured, you will be ready to start searching for your new canopy cover. If you have any questions please feel free to call 1-888-726-9300, live chat with an expert or email us.

Fabric Options

18 oz. Shelter-Rite

Shelter-Rite is a material that is made in the USA using a high performance 18 oz. vinyl. This material is constructed using heavy-duty woven polyester fibers to prevent cracking or peeling. Shelter-Rite is UV, mold and mildew resistant. Heat-sealed, welded seams provide leak-free stitching, which ensures durability.

8 oz. WeatherMax

WeatherMax is an 8 oz. material, making it the lightest fabric available for canopy lift covers. The lightness of this fabric makes it easy to install, while the vinyl element of the material provides strength and long-lasting durability. Sagging from age, rain or exposure is avoided using engineered yarn memory. This “memory” is responsible for maintaining the canopy’s shape and appearance. Expect this breathable fabric to retain its brilliant and beautiful color, ensuring your WeatherMax canopy lasts for a very long time.

15 oz. SeaMark

SeaMark is rated as the top performing fabric for our canopy lift covers. This 15 oz. material is water-proof, highly durable and fade resistant. Engineered using a combination of Sunbrella (a woven acrylic fabric) and Hartz (a textured marine-grade vinyl), this fabric can withstand the harsh conditions common to any marine environment. If you are looking for the most durable canopy fabric with the best longevity, invest in a SeaMark.

Installation

All Boat Lift Canopy Covers come with installation instructions for your specific manufacturer’s frame. These Instructions detail step by step how to install your new canopy to your existing frame. Attachment systems will also vary depending on the frame’s manufacturer; some may attach using a Quicklash System whereas others might have a stretch webbing attachment with hooks. Most replacement canopies will attach using the same system as your original equipment canopy. If you have any questions about attachments or installation, you are welcome to call 1-888-726-9300, live chat,  email us or see below.

Care

All CoverTuff Canopy Covers can be cleaned with a mixture of lukewarm water and mild soap. Using a soft cloth, scrub any soiled areas with the mixture and allow to dry. Never store a canopy cover without allowing it to completely dry first. Cleaning your Boat Lift Canopy Cover
